New distributed title: Moldepunx go marching out

Originally, "Moldepunx go marching out" was just 30 numbered one-to-one copied cassettes, suffering from hiss, mud and low output. Fortunately, Trond Sættem of Onward had a sense of what gems could be hidden in the hiss and started collecting the various sources, digitalizing it and, with the help of mastering mastermind Audun Strype, unearthed what can only be considered the holy grail of Norwegian Punk and hardcore.

Members of bands on this release went on to form bands like Svart Framtid, Kafka Prosess, Stengte Dører and So Much Hate – all strong bands in the Norwegian and European Hardcore scene. But Moldepunx... is more than a precursor, it is a document to an era where youthful aggression and adventure formed a higher unity.

If you read Norwegian, we recommend this interview with Trond Sættem on our very own Tigerblog
