Its been a while since we heard from Manhattan Skyline, but now they report that they are writing songs and will head into the studio in April. That’s great news guys!

Their debut, ‘Curses’, from 2008 was the third album to be released on Fysisk Format and we’re extremely proud of it. Check out if you like insane, skilled metallic hardcore like Converge, Botch and early Dillinger Escape Plan!

Årabrot won the Norwegian Grammy in the Metal category! The fact that Grutle from the Viking-metal act Enslaved handed out the price carried a heavy symbolic weight: Death to Tolkien metal!

Yngve of Blood Command is in the studio now, working on their second album – but he found the time to share his best of 2011 list:

‎ÅRABROT is nominated for the Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann) in the metal category for the second time. The show is this Saturday, and this time they’re taking it home!

The other nominees, like Taake and Vreid, are just national romantic late-comers for the black metal hype. More funny than scary. Sorry guys, you missed it in 1993, 2003 and you are missing it still. Someone give the old black metalers a national museum where they can go and turn to wax.
